It was Edward who signed the original hand written copy of the Visitation of the Heralds complied by Edward Byshe.

According to some notes on a pedigree at the College of Arms Edward left seven of his children a total of approximately £7000 and he left money to other people. This would equate to approximately £1 million pounds in the year 2000. His 12 page will confirms that he had a large amounts of money and he owned property in Northfleet, Barham, Meopham, Sittingbourne, Cobham, the manor of Dauson, the manor of Dansington, Gravesend, Doddington, London, the manor of Nursted, St Peters Isle of Thanet and Shrond in Middx. He also owned the Sacacens Head in Sittingbourne. .

If his wishes have been carried out he will have been buried in the chancel of the chapel or church at Barham with a memorial on the wall nearby to remind others of their mortality.

Edward married Leah Fortrye.

Daughter of Peter Fortrye of East Combe in Kent by Leah his wife daughter of Laurence de Bouverie ancestor of William Earl of Radnor.

Leah had a brother James Fortrye who is mentioned in Edward Adye's will. James sold some land or property to Edward Adye.

Leah died before 1677.
